First let's look at the perspective of the real wholesale supplier. Real suppliers have huge money making markets like Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, and so on. They concentrate their advertising funds on big companies, namely large retail chains, which sell the product they are trying to sell. They don't make a lot of money off of small home-based e-Bay businesses so why should they try to get that market share? Exactly, there is no point on spending advertising money on websites like Google and Yahoo that pretty much only target small home-based businesses. Now just because they don't target individuals like that does not mean they don't want to work with you. The fact of the matter is, most wholesale suppliers will work with you if you contact them, they just won't go out of their way to find you and contact you.

That would be a very expensive way to sell their product. With wholesale suppliers, they already have the market share, the staff, the training, the trucks, the distribution centers, and the warehouses to keep several different products from several manufacturers in stock. That way, the only thing the manufacturer has to worry about is making the product and getting it to the wholesale supplier. The wholesale suppliers do the rest of the work, they are the ones who go out and market the product to the different retail chains and big companies, so that the manufacturer doesn't have to.

Every manufacturer has different authorized wholesale suppliers which they ship their product to for sales and distribution. So in order to find out who the wholesale supplier is for a specific product, the best way to find out is to contact the manufacturer directly. This is very easy to do, and the majority of the time the manufacturer is happy to give you the names of their wholesale suppliers. In a rare case, they might sell to you directly, but most of the time they will just give you the names and numbers of their authorized suppliers. That is the best way to find a good wholesale supplier, by going directly to the source!
Sometimes however, you have to do a little research to figure out who the manufacturer of a product is. Just because the label says "Sony" for example, doesn't mean that Sony is the manufacturer of the product. Once you figure out a product that you want to sell, the next thing to do is make sure you know the real manufacturer of the product, and then you are on your way to finding the supplier.
