"I Want A Piece Of The eBay Pie...Show Me The Money!"
So, you've decided it was about time to start selling on eBay and make those quick profits you've heard everyone talking about. Despite all that buzz you may be hearing about easy cash, there is some work involved in the process.
So let's say you begin by rummaging through the house and eventually making it down to the basement and up to the attic. There you come across those old records mom and dad have collecting dust, some baseball cards and comics dad collected as a teen, and even some old coin collection that mom received from some lame uncle instead of a trendy new toy on her 15th birthday. You get to thinking and realize, "hey maybe someone will pay me for this stuff", and one thing leads to another and you find yourself taking a hundred pictures of that one coin or card so it looks perfect to eBay buyers.
Once you run through everything in your house that's sellable short of the copper piping that runs the hot water, you decide its time to move on. Where else to find something people will buy?
"Tell Me, Tell Me, Tell Me: How Do I Take 'Selling On eBay' To The Next Level?"
Garage sales! What an idea, you can now take advantage of the stuff in other people's attics and basements. But once again this is only a temporary solution and requires finding out when there are local garage sales occurring.
You can go to card shops and stores looking for bargains, but trying to buy from retail to resell retail only goes so far. Some buyers have had success going into record stores, card shops, and other 'mom and pop' stores looking for deals. They would either dig up items they knew would go for more than they were currently on sale for, or they would help out the store owner and sell some of their items for a cut of the profits. But once again this takes time and plenty of researching the old fashioned way.ON FOOT.
Finally, you're ready to move to the next level, where the real money is at! Not to discount the previous attempts, but those sales were hardly regular and very random. You're in search of something steady and consistent, a constant supply of some item that you can easily turn for a small or large profit time and time again.
